Las colecciones primavera verano 2013 del Nueva York Fashion week volvieron en su gran mayoría al minimalismo de los 90's. Pero esta vez de una forma diferente basado en la textura tal como lo hizo Francisco Costa para Calvin Klein, o alexander wang con sus calados en láser o Narciso Rodriguez,un clásico de la época.
Otro factor importante es que los diseñadores han encontrado inspiración en una mujer poderosa ,pero también femenina, inyectándole una gran energía a las diversas propuestas de la ciudad. Luego de varias temporadas en donde los estampados reinaban, estos siguen presentes pero con una presencia menos discreta siendo los más representativos Proenza Schouler.Las rayas en sus diversas manifestaciones y colores estuvieron presentes en muchas de las colecciones, teniendo como cabeza a la de Marc Jacobs y Michael Kors
En cuanto a los colores, podemos apreciar el reinado del naranja en casi todas las pasarelas, desde Tommy Hilfiger hasta Rag & Bone,el blanco y la clásica combinación del blanco y negro en contraste de los colores pasteles del verano pasado.
